Collection: Wabi Sabi Yarn
wabi sabi (noun): a Japanese aesthetic concept that finds beauty and serenity in objects, landscapes, designs, etc., that are simple, imperfect, and impermanent
The process of hand dyeing yarn is inherently one that results in many natural imperfections. Some are desired, like the variegations in many of our colorways, but sometimes, we end up with imperfections that are not up to our standards. This may be a yarn that comes out just a shade off what we were aiming for, or a stray speck of dye found its way onto an otherwise perfect skein of yarn, but no matter what, we would not be comfortable selling them at full price.
However, we do not believe in creating unnecessary waste. Our wabi sabi yarn are still high quality yarn that would do well in any project, but they just aren't good enough for us to sell at full price. So, we are selling them at a steep discount so that they don't go to waste, and we hope that you can find the beauty in the imperfect and incorporate these yarns into your crafting projects. If you order multiple skeins, we will do our best to match the colors as best as we can.
Note: all Wabi Sabi yarn is final sale (no returns)
